If you are interested in the possibility of joining the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne, you need to know:members are “invested” at ceremonies preceding formal Chapter dinners (which are held three times a year in Champagne, twice a year in London and, in the North of England, either annually or every other year depending upon numbers of applicants).

 

These ceremonies are conducted by “Dignitaires” from Reims or by the UK Consul, applicants for membership must complete the formal Application form and need to be proposed and seconded by current members who feel able to support the particular applicant.

 

An “application pack” will be sent to persons whose expression of interest form indicates to the OCC North GB Committee that the individual is likely to meet the criteria applicable for becoming a Chevalier of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne. Full details of the requirements and responsibilities of applicants are set out in the Application Pack.

 

Annual subscriptions are, currently, £60.00p per annum (one half of which is passed to the Headquarters in Reims) and investiture fees for the rank of Chevalier are £90.00p. In our Consulate we endeavour to keep the charge for each formal dinner in the range of £110.00p – 130.00p per person.

 

Below there is an “Expression of Interest Form” which you can complete and submit if you would like more detailed information about becoming a member.Your form will be considered by the Consulate Committee and you will receive a response when such consideration has taken place. Please bear in mind that the Committee does not comprise “full time officials;” consequently there may be a delay before you receive a response.
